HOW TO: Post Pictures

001 Find the URL of the picture (right click > properties > address (URL)), and copy it.
002 In the message you want to post the picture in, open the IMG tag (above ^^) by clicking it, paste the URL in, and close the IMG tag by clicking it again

IF THE SITE DOES NOT ALLOW DIRECT LINKING, OR YOU WANT TO UPLOAD THE IMAGE SOMEWHERE-
Upload your image to a free image host, http://photobucket.com/ and http://www.imageshack.us/ seem to be the most popular. And then follow the steps above.

To get the thumbnail image URL: right click the thumbnail (small) picture and copy the Address/URL
The link to the full size image page is displayed below the picture, in the section titled 'File information'

the link location, right click on a picture and you'll see the option 'copy link location'. when u do that then you've copied the url

you obviously have a computer/browser/whatever it's called that makes it easy for you! when you right click on a picture on my comp. you don't get a 'copy link location' option

OK, so when i paste the URL, and i preview the message, and it has the little img thing, then the url, then the img thing again, and i post it and it's the same on the forum, does it just stay like that, or does the image come on or something? I'm kinda confused.

Copy and Paste here exactly what comes up.

click the Img button twice so you get then paste the URL of the image in between, where the star is - [img]*[/img]

sorry to bother u Jess but I tried to put icons on my sig but it show up like with the website is there something I am doing wrong?

might be because you've left spaces at the end of the image URL ... not sure. But anyway, more icons in your signature will make it too big, sorry - have a read of the rules to find out the maximum allowed size

Posting HQ/large images in posts without using thumbnails will get you in trouble from now

i didnt get it how to do thumbnails without using imageshack lol
and this rule is only for HQ's? what's the maximum size of the pictures we can post without use thumbnails?
we have to use it in the "Post a picture of you" thread too?
