Video section set-up

I'm always debating whether the video section is organised well enough, and I know quite a few other fansites use Coppermine for videos (coppermine is the format used for the Gallery and Fanarchive here). So I'd like to know whether you'd like to see the Video section in the same format as the Gallery and Fanarchive, or whether you like it as it is ...

Personally, I like the way it looks now but it might be easier to add videos the other way ... so really, I'm looking to you for your thoughts

I think it's fine the way it is right now, BUT, the more videos we get, the less convenient that way will be, because the lists will get so long. So now could be a good time to switch over.

The Naomi layout looks really good!
I have no problem with the current set up we have right now at all...but I like how you can see a small pic of the vid so you can find the one you want to see more easily,and like Kelly already said,the more videos the more confusion maybe...
But like I said,it is perfectly ok now as well

Yeah I agree with you Tina.
How it is made at the Naomi site is wonderful, I really like it when it is done like this, sorted and with pics so that you know, which video it is.
But I like this version of our video section as well.

I'd like a different set up, simply for the reason that I can never find old videos when I want to That way is more organized, and while having the video section the way it is now isn't particularly a problem, more and more videos are being posted, and that section is only going to get more confusing lol. Personally I think the Naomi video section looks wonderful, but it's up to you

Thanks to all of you for replying. While I am not a fan of using too many scripts of my sites, I like the way the Naomi video section is so I'm leaning towards creating the same sort of thing for NM as well ...

It would be great to arrange video gallery according year they were taken.


And - I have a question:

You probably have to link some videos to other sites (you can not make them download-able)
but many of that links are dead.
Can that problem be solved somehow?

^ In all honesty the video section is last on my list of priorities right now. Partly because it's the least fun for me, but also because I think a lot of people just go to YouTube to watch vids of their fave celebs so there seems less point. Once the content, site and forum are all 'complete' and up to my satisfaction, I will work on the videos.

I know this is an OLD thread, but thanks everyone for your opinions on the video section format! I'll make a decision how to do it when I get round to working on it
